Plumbing Contractors Association of Greater Chicago (PCA)
As one of the oldest trade associations in the United States, the mission of the Plumbing Contractors Association of Greater Chicago (PCA) includes representing our members in Labor Relations and Legislation, assisting our members with education and safety training, and promoting the highest standards and ethical practices in the field of plumbing contracting.
Continuous and effective communication will enable us to accomplish our mission and enhance our role as a leader in local, regional, and national industry advancement.

S.J. Peters

Executive Director

 ​S.J. has served as Executive Director of the PCA of Greater Chicago   (Plumbing Contractors Association) covering 17 counties in and around   Chicago since 2006. He was first hired in the E.D. position for PAMCANI. In   this role, he leads the day-to-day activities of the association including   primarily dealing with our contractor members, plus financial oversight;   communications; education; events; legislative matters; labor relations; and
 more. He is a Trustee (alternate) on the Plumbers Local 130 UA Pension & Welfare Trust Funds.
 
Peters additionally is a Board member and past president of of IMSCA (Illinois Mechanical & Specialty Contractors Association); an advisor to the UAC (Union Affiliated Contractors of the National Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – PHCC); and an Officer (Secretary) for CISCO (Construction Industry Service Corporation). He also spent a decade on the board of the Plumbing Contractors of America – an enhanced service division of the MCAA (Mechanical Contractors Association of America).
 
A graduate of Loyola University and an Illinois native raised in Brookfield, Peters’ career began in mass communications. After working on-air at major-market radio stations, he next served as Communications Director for the Central Educational Network (PBS-Midwest Region). Prior to coming to the PCA, Peters spent 15 years as VP/Communications Director for the United Food & Commercial Workers Intl. Union (UFCW Locals 881 & 1546) in Chicagoland. He simultaneously founded/published a local consumer radio guide and was media columnist for Life Newspapers for 5 years. Peters earned an ELI designation through MCAA’s Executive Leadership Institute in 2017.

Adriana Wells

Adriana brings over 15 years of experience in customer service, operations, and member support, with a strong focus on communication, organization, and relationship management. In her role with the Plumbing Contractors Association of Greater Chicago (PCA), she supports contractors, associate members, and industry partners by ensuring accurate information, efficient coordination, and a high level of service across programs, events, and communications. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Adriana is committed to professionalism, collaboration, and supporting the mission and day-to-day operations of the Association.
​
​Prior to joining the Association staff in 2023, Adriana worked in various roles with the North Riverside Parks & Recreation, The Berwyn Park District, along with additional experience in banking, retail, and hospitality—backgrounds that collectively strengthen her effectiveness in member services.
